Variety in My Life. Day 1,187 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,187 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Tuesday – 2/2/2021

variety in my life

I have always enjoyed having variety in my life and my day. I think it is one of the reasons I love to travel and see new places. No two days are the same! Though, I have found there is something about a morning routine that puts my day and my life at ease.

When I travel, many days, my routine seems to go out the window. It was nice to get back to my routine this morning of journaling, reading, meditating and praying. On paper it seems like a lot of time to spend, though I know when I do my life and my energy flows so much better.

About “Finding Joy”

And I’m off…. the 16-day adventure begins. The timing of this trip is interesting so I’m naming it “Finding Joy in the Journey.” I’ll be doing one dedicated post each day (at the end of the day or next morning). Since I typically post more than once a day, you’ll find it as a black and white photo. I’ll share the joy of the journey (on the trip or through this season), where I’m finding it and what I’m learning. I hope to inspire myself along the way. And if I can inspire others too, that would be a gift. So let the journey begin…

It was November 2017 and I was ready to head off on a sixteen-day trip.  Nine days before leaving, my mom unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. It shook me to my core.  I had always been told the 40’s are the best years of your life.  And in a matter of three years, since turning the age of 40, I had gone through a divorce and lost both parents.

I contemplated canceling the trip though I knew my mom would not be happy with that decision. She would want me to continue living my life.  My parents did not raise me to sit back and watch life; instead to fully participate in every moment. So I promised my parents to find joy in the journey everyday on my sixteen-day trip and share my experience with others.

Little did I know what “Finding the Joy in the Journey” would turn into when I acted on the prompting to share my experience on a daily basis.  It helped me see life differently and my wish is that it will inspire others find joy in their journey.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad. Day 1,186 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,186 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Monday – 2/1/2021

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! It would have been 57 years today! Thank you for being my parents. I learned a lot from you both and still apply many of those lessons in my life today. You are dearly missed, and I think about and talk about you often. I love you!

Happy Anniversary

Very Little Travel. Day 1,185 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,185 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Sunday – 1/31/2021

very little travel,

After a year of very little travel, I’m wrapping up my second trip of the year! There’s a lot about traveling that I miss. I’ve missed waking up to different landscapes. So, it was great being near the mountains this week. There is something about nature and its beauty that feeds my soul.

Such a Big Day. Day 1,184 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,184 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Saturday – 1/30/2021

A Big Day.

Today was such a big day! I have been with SendOutCards for over eleven years and today was a monumental day in our company. We went from SendOutCards to Greener Still with 6 different income streams – SendOutCards (of course), Bella Cadeaux, Blue 42, Prompting U, Stream Marketing and Stream VA. Plus a brand-new compensation/duplication program.

I’ve had the honor over the past several months being part of the team and have been so excited to share what I know. If you know me, it was really hard to keep my mouth shut!

There’s a huge team that has made this all possible with each person doing their part. It was fantastic being able to be here live in Salt Lake for our virtual launch and participate in the event.

There are so many things I am excited about with Greener Still including being a Relationship Development company and all of our streams will be focused on developing relationships with self, others, and business. There are brand new opportunities to share new products and services for my team and me. I am excited to see the people on my team grow with our new opportunity. Plus, the people that will come in as customers to use our products and have the ability to earn free products through our new Customer Referral Program. In addition, to meet all the new people that will come onto our team in the next days, months and years.

The goal was to create A Better Way and I’m so proud of our Founder and Chief Visionary Officer Kody Bateman and the entire team for what they have accomplished! We truly do have a Better Way with Greener Still!

A big day for Greener Still

Day 1,183 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Friday – 1/29/2021

Fun to be “backstage”

Fun to be “backstage” for the dress rehearsal and VIP event of A Better Way! There is so much work that has gone into the January 30 A Better Way Launch by the entire team. It’s really cool to see all of the pieces come together!

I love our sea salt caramels. Day 1,182 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,182 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Thursday – 1/28/2021

I love our sea salt caramels!

I love our sea salt caramels! Knowing there are hundreds of them just down the hall from me is not a good thing. LOL! Is it bad that I considered sending a bag with a card to be delivered to me? Ha ha ha!

It’s such a great experience to be here in Salt Lake at the SendOutCards office working with the corporate team on our big launch of five new income streams this Saturday. (And oh, how I wish I could show you some other photos on my phone of what’s to come!!!)

Where the Magic Happens. Day 1,181 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,181 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Wednesday – 1/27/2021

Where the Magic Happens

I love being where the magic happens. Since I started with SendOutCards in 2009, I’ve sent 37,628 cards! That number just blows me away. And when I hit the send button from my phone or my computer, this is where the magic happens. I am grateful for SendOutCards and the ease it allows me to share love and kindness into the world to one person or an entire group. Sending love and kindness has completely changed my life and I know it has touched the lives of others. Without this service, there is no way I would have sent that many cards.

Salt Lake City. Day 1,180 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,180 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Tuesday – 1/26/2021

Salt Lake City

It’s been over a year since I flew into Salt Lake City and I thought I was at the wrong place. They have completely rebuilt the airport. I was so confused though knew I was in the right spot when I saw an Eagle in the big mural in the underground walkway!

This Sign. Day 1,179 – Finding Joy in the Journey

Day 1,179 – Finding Joy in the Journey – Monday – 1/25/2021

This sign hangs on the wall in my office

This sign hangs on the wall in my office. It was a gift to me at a low point in my life when I had forgotten who I was and the genius I have within myself.

As I looked at this sign, it reminded me about a recent conversation I had about confidence and arrogance. It made me wonder does this saying of “Realize how good you really are” make you confident or arrogant?

I believe it depends on one, do you see the sign and believe it’s only true for you (arrogance) or two, do you believe that it’s true for everyone – that we all have genius within (confidence).

I believe that we all have gifts and talents that are unique. I am confident in myself though I know others can contribute to what I am doing and make it better. I know others have different viewpoints and when I am confident in myself, I can have open and authentic conversations about our differences. There’s nothing wrong realizing how good you are when you also realize how good everyone else is around you!

So, if you are reading this, I want you to “Realize how good you really are!”
